Last year in the month of August we talked about Internet Marketing Blogging and how it is the perfect way to share helpful tips, express opinions and show your businesses personality. Blogging is an effective way to bring in traffic to your companies site. So what seems to be the problem? Why is it so difficult to post a blog article daily? Ok monthly?
We don't have time
It's to hard
I'm not computer savvy
It's to busy today we'll do it tomorrow.. Sure...like that ever happens.
Make the time and do it now.
Blogging is one of the most important regular tasks that you can do but always gets pushed back. It is the direct connection between your company and your customers. Below is an example of the growth in organic visits for a company who was blogging and recently stopped. You can see the progression of growth in visits a few months after they were active and then see the decrease of visits once they stopped blogging. It is very important to post an article at least once a week.
Now we also hear a lot of companies complaining that they have been posting but not seeing much impact. Just posting the article to your companies blog is only step one. It's like bringing cookies to a party. You can buy them (make someone do the cooking/blogging for you) You can buy the dough and claim you made them (posting only to your blog and claiming your done) or you can gather the ingredients to make them and put in the effort to bake them yourself. (Write, post and distribute your topic across the web). As a result (if they are good) multiple people will eat the cookies (see your post) and maybe even ask you to make more. Below is a list of tasks that can help you understand what your approach should be after your content is written and you are ready to post to your blog.
